The Sailing Yacht and 89-90 Whitbread Class Winner – Creightons Naturally, previously FCF Challenger, is being transformed into the Ocean Story Boat. It is being done to launch Ocean Story, a social enterprise, dedicated to the oceans and those who depend on them for their survival, ultimately all of us. When the boat is ready she will be undertaking a global campaign voyage to rally support for a united ocean event, A Race for the Oceans.

Our Message:  We are all indigenous. We are all wave makers. We are all connected through the oceans and we all depend upon them for our survival. It is time to consciously take responsibility for the waves that we are making.

Our  Approach:  Participatory education and entertainment, delivered across the seas, to the shores of as many nations as possible in conjunction with all forms of media.

Our Question:  What kind of waves are we making?

Our Solution:  Educate and Empower. Create a wave of transformation via an engaging global education campaign for ocean awareness,  by communicating the message that we are all wave makers and that we can consciously create the condition of  our world and our oceans. Additionally we wish to promote ethichal ocean conservation by providing a high visibility platform for the people and organisations that are committed to protecting the future of the ocean.

Through the creation of inspiring and entertaining projects and events we aim to reach through to people of all cultures and ages, and additionally to mainstream corporations, rallying global support for change in the care for our oceans.

Our long term focus is the creation of the Ocean Story Round the World Race. It is the vision of a race with a difference to make a difference: A Race for the Oceans.

It is time for an Olympian Event for the Oceans, where instead of mankind pitting itself against the seas, we come together to find our greatness in service of the seas, for the sake of all life. The oceans unite us, so let us make that our opportunity for greatness, evolution and unity.

The Ocean Story Foundation is working with key environmentalists, artists, spiritual leaders and mariners who are pledging their support for the project and the greater vision. We are also working with indigenous leaders from the United Nations Environmental Protection Agency and the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues.
